Minimum Qualifications

✅ Current Phlebotomy Certification

✅ Minimum of 1 year experience performing venipunctures in a clinic or hospital setting

✅ Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently

✅ BLS Certification (Preferred, Not Required)


Shift Opportunities

Lead Phlebotomist

 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Phlebotomist Positions

 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Processing Area)

 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Draw Station)

 1:30 PM – 9:00 PM (Processing & Floor Draw)

 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (Processing & Floor Draw)

Schedules may change based on facility needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipunctures and specimen collections

  • Process blood and urine specimens

  • Conduct patient identification and specimen verification

  • Follow laboratory safety and infection control protocols

  • Maintain accurate documentation and accessioning records

  • Process and prepare specimens for transport

  • Operate within VA and Joint Commission standards

  • Assist with inventory and supply management

  • Utilize laboratory computer systems and documentation platforms

Lead Phlebotomist Additional Duties

  • Serve as Point of Contact between Laboratory Supervisor and staff

  • Assist with daily laboratory operations and workflow coordination

  • Support administrative functions within the department


Required Submission Documents

  • Resume

  • Current Phlebotomy Certification

  • Three Professional Reference Letters (within the last 3 years)

  • OIG Statement

  • Signed Commitment Letter

  • Healthcare Worker Certificate/Recent Physical

  • Proof of Licensing/Certification

  • Malpractice Claim Statement (if applicable)

  • City and State of Residence
