PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Conformal Coat Assembler in Chelmsford, MA for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Secret-Cleared Conformal Coat Assembler will apply conformal coating to electronic assemblies, perform touch-up work, and support microelectronics assembly in a production environment. This role requires interim Secret clearance to start, conformal coat experience, familiarity with paint equipment, and strong attention to detail.
Required Skills
- Interim Secret clearance required to start.
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance prior to full-time conversion.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with conformal coat.
- Familiarity with paint equipment.
- Experience assembling electronic components, subassemblies, or products.
- Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and assembly process documentation.
- Ability to use automated and/or manual equipment to apply conformal coating.
- Ability to work with microscopic to large components using visual magnification as needed.
- Ability to use microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools such as tweezers, rulers, cutters, torque drivers, and screwdrivers.
- Basic computer skills, including digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation.
- Ability to maintain accurate production data entry.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
- Willingness to cross-train in other non-assembly commodity areas.
Preferred Skills
- Electrical or microelectronics assembly experience.
- Knowledge of ESD procedures and test equipment.
- Ability to learn J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610.
- Experience supporting throughput, continuous improvement, production quality, and electronics manufacturing processes.
What You’ll Do
- Apply conformal coat to electronic assemblies using automated and/or manual equipment.
- Perform touch-up work as needed.
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and products.
- Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and process documentation.
- Use microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to meet quality requirements.
- Work with small electronic components that may require visual magnification.
- Use hand tools and pneumatic tools to complete assembly tasks.
- Maintain accurate production data.
- Collaborate with team members to improve throughput and support continuous improvement.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Day shift.
- Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- Monday–Thursday schedule may be possible.
- Full-time role with possible overtime.
