Length of Work Year: 2025-2026 School Year: Probationary Permanent Classified Position: Employment Type: Part Time Job Posting Number: 25-70 Hours: 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, includes 12 hour unpaid lunch Location: District Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible and upon completion of background check by the Department of Justice DOJ and Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI.

Benefits: District contribution for a full time employee is $13,800 annually. Prorated benefits medical, dental, and vision available at 50 FTE.

Job Summary

Assist certificated teachers in providing instruction to students in regular education programs, monitor and report student progress in areas of behavior and performance, and perform clerical and instructional support duties.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and completed 48 units of Post High School Study
• OR have an AA Degree or higher
• OR Pass the GVSD locally designed Highly Qualified Assessment for Teaching Assistants
• Spanish Speaker preferred
