Responsibilities
Charlotte Lab School’s Student Assistant will have responsibilities in support of Lab’s operational vision:
Assist with moving and organizing of learning and communal spaces;
Assist with moving and organizing of communal supplies;
Minor repairs including carpet spot cleaning, filling of nail holes, removing marks from walls, etc;
Support outdoor campus beautification efforts, including outdoor clean-up and basic gardening tasks;
Assist with filing, organizing records, and maintaining operational documentation;
Take on other responsibilities as needed, and as assigned, to ensure student and school success.
Qualifications
Candidate MUST:
Be 14 years old and into 9th Grade in the fall
Be enrolled in School within Mecklenburg County
Be able/willing to learn how to fulfill the responsibilities listed above;
Demonstrate experience in, or passion for, collaborating with diverse populations.
Physical Requirements
Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout
Bend, kneel, and reach to access materials
Climb stairs and navigate multiple levels of the building as required
Compensation
Charlotte Lab School offers students $7.25 per hour, and we ask that you are available at least 4 days a week, Monday-Thursday.
