Full-Time Waterfront Material Reclamation lead to provide executive-level project management and coordination for Combat System material reclamation activities, supporting NSWC PHD N- Department. This position will coordinate efforts associated with decommissioning, standard/non-standard de- installations, and material harvesting events that occur during availabilities and other windows of opportunity. A successful candidate in this role will improve the coordination, accountability, and execution of these complex material recovery efforts to mitigate material loss, increase efficiency, and ensure alignment with Fleet readiness objectives.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 7 - 9 years of Navy Combat Systems experience or no degree and 11-14 years of experience.
Responsible for developing executable plans, facilitating stakeholder coordination, and overseeing the entire reclamation lifecycle. This includes ensuring all recovered material is properly identified, documented, tracked, and dispositioned through approved pathways. This role requires extensive coordination across internal and external stakeholders, including PHD programs, ISEAs, Waterfront Logistics Representatives, Fleet commands, supply activities, and industry partners. Key deliverables will include the development of standardized processes, project schedules, risk assessments, and the preparation of high-level correspondence, briefings, and status reports for senior leadership.
The ideal candidate must possess expert knowledge of Navy Integrated Product Support (IPS) processes, advanced logistics concepts, and material readiness. This position requires strong organizational and project management skills, sound judgment, and excellent communication abilities to effectively engage with senior civilian and military leadership. The lead will operate within the Waterfront Logistics Division to enhance and formalize the command''s material reclamation capabilities.
Develop communications relationships with all stakeholders.
Investigate and research solutions to significant problems
Ensure adherence to safety, technical, environmental and production process requirements.
Support travel requirements for conference attendance and ship visits.
Track reconfigurations, baselines and data management.
Able to interface with Project Engineers, LogReps, Engineers, Technicians, and Logisticians.
Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat).
Have a valid driver's license with own transportation.
Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance.
Able to follow company policies and procedures.
Able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed reports.
Preferred Skills:
Navy Logistics School and previous NAVSEA CM/ Logistics expereience
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel if/ when required.
