PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides a full range of psychological assessments, in accordance with state and federal regulations as part of the Special Education eligibility/service determination process for initial and re-evaluations
- Writes comprehensive evaluation reports in accordance with federal and state mandates
- Presents findings and recommendations from psychological assessments as a member of the building's multidisciplinary team
- Analyzes, interprets, and presents psychological data and reports from outside agencies
- Collaborates with team on data-based decision making
- Assists teachers in collecting meaningful student data
- Participates as a member of building-based support teams to identify at-risk students, assess student needs, and recommend research-based interventions and supports for students who receive general and/or special education services
- Provides crisis prevention and intervention services
- Provides individual and group counseling
- Implements school-wide positive behavioral supports
- Connects families with community service providers when necessary
- Help students transition between school and community learning environments, such as residential treatment and juvenile justice programs
- Monitor and effectively communicate with parents about student progress
- Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee
