PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared RF Engineer in Camarillo, CA for a one-year contract role supporting Northrop Grumman.

The RF Engineer will support development of Electronic Warfare systems for military aircraft, primarily supporting a Navy-led team developing systems for the U.S. Marine Corps. This onsite role requires active Secret clearance, RF systems experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to support RF hardware design, component selection, prototyping, testing, chamber testing, troubleshooting, and integration with software and aircraft systems.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of related experience, master’s degree with 1+ year of related experience, or PhD with 0 years of related experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • RF systems experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a close team environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in a Navy development facility.
  • Ability to support RF hardware design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to review RF performance requirements and support system requirement development.
  • Ability to support RF component specification, selection, and evaluation.
  • Ability to support RF spread bench testing, chamber testing, and system RF performance evaluation.
  • Ability to support configuration management for RF system changes.

What You’ll Do

  • Support RF system development for Electronic Warfare applications.
  • Follow USMC operational scenarios, architecture frameworks, and RF performance requirements.
  • Review RF-related system requirements and support requirement decomposition.
  • Research and recommend RF components such as transceivers, antennas, amplifiers, filters, switches, couplers, splitters, and cables.
  • Evaluate RF components based on performance, size, weight, power, aircraft limitations, and antenna location constraints.
  • Support antenna performance review and down-select activity.
  • Build and use RF spread bench setups to test candidate RF components.
  • Summarize RF test results and support system design decisions.
  • Assist with RF block diagrams, RF switching hardware, and RF circuit card assembly evaluations.
  • Generate and maintain RF component Acceptance Test Procedures.
  • Conduct ATPs on RF components.
  • Support RF chamber testing, lab testing, and flight-test evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot RF system issues and investigate RF safety concerns.
  • Support MIL-STD-461 EMI and MIL-STD-464 EMC compliance activity.
  • Provide RF technical data for program sponsor data calls.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 1st shift.
  • 9x80 A schedule.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Onsite role; telework is not available.
  • Up to 10% travel.

  • $66.67/hour
