Project Genesis, Inc.We're looking for compassionate and reliable
Independent Living Skills Trainers (ILST) to join our
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) team in Plainfield, CT. You'll work
one-on-one with individuals, helping them rebuild life skills, gain confidence, and live more independently - all while being part of a mission-driven nonprofit that truly values its team.
What You'll Do:As an ILST, you'll:- Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as daily routines, budgeting, cooking, and communication.
- Provide non-medical care, supervision, and socialization based on each client's personalized service plan.
- Encourage, guide, and celebrate progress - big and small!
- Be a positive, steady presence as your clients build stronger, more fulfilling lives.
What You'll Need:- Be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required).
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.
- Verifiable Experience with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI):
- 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent, OR
- 1 year with a bachelor's degree.
