Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $160,000 per year.

Job description:

• Establishes and/or applies policies and procedures to ensure that accounting transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Schedule, manage and coordinate the monthly/quarterly/annual close and SEC filing process including the review and/or preparation of journal entries and reconciliations, complex supporting schedules and drafting financial statements.
• Ensure adherence to and maintenance of internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial reporting and fraud.
• Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of accounting staff including but not limited to cash management, accounts payable, purchasing, and general ledger reconciliations/journal entries.
• Requires a strong knowledge of technical accounting matters, particularly ASC 842, debt accounting, robust internal control processes and the Company's accounting policies and procedures. .
• Assist Controller with the preparation of external financial statements, SOX review and audit support.

• Bachelor's in accounting required
• CPA preferred
• 8+ years experience with public company reporting, internal controls and supporting audits.
• SEC reporting, ASC 842, SOX
• Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software's (Intacct and Bill.com)

• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, including clinical research/drug development process preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively and present accounting information to various levels including non-accountants within an organization.
