    Description

    Job Title

    This position supports Arcfield's day-to-day corporate accounting activities, with primary responsibility for cash application, bank reconciliations, and intercompany accounting. This role also supports monthly and quarterly close activities and works closely with the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and other internal teams to research and resolve accounting discrepancies.

    Responsibilities

    Perform daily cash application in Deltek Costpoint

    Research unidentified or unapplied cash and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding items

    Prepare weekly bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items

    Prepare intercompany reconciliations and assist with resolving intercompany differences

    Prepare journal entries and provide other assigned support during the monthly and quarterly close

    Maintain complete and accurate supporting documentation in accordance with internal control requirements

    Maintain and update process documentation for assigned responsibilities

    Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned areas

    Identify and recommend process improvements

    Perform other accounting duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    What's Essential

    Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    0–2 years of professional accounting, accounts receivable, or cash application experience

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    Ability to reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and maintain clear supporting documentation

    Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally when requesting information, resolving discrepancies, and following up on outstanding items

    Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills

    Ability to manage recurring deadlines and competing priorities

    Driven, self-motivated, and accountable

    What's Desirable

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

    Experience with cash application and accounts receivable

    Experience preparing bank and balance sheet account reconciliations

    Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations

    Experience preparing journal entries

    Experience with Deltek Costpoint

    Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP

    Experience in government contracting or a project-based accounting environment

    This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
