Schedule: Work schedule primarily evening and weekend hours, with occasional daytime assignments as needed
Status: Part-time
The Adjunct Automotive Instructor provides instruction to students in the Automotive program in accordance with established course outlines and college policies. The position includes teaching students in areas such as engine repair, electrical systems, brakes, steering and suspension, transmissions, and diagnostics. The instructor is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on, and theory-based instruction that prepares students for employment in the automotive industry and/or industry-recognized certifications.
Instructs students of varying ages and skill levels, including high school students who may be new to automotive technology, as well as adult learners seeking advanced training or industry certification.

Prior teaching experience at the community college level.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Master ASE certification.
Familiarity with online or hybrid instructional methods.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Work is performed in both classroom and automotive lab settings.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds while demonstrating and assisting with lab activities.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to read gauges, computer screens, and technical manuals, and to operate automotive tools, equipment and diagnostic instruments.
Exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures is common in the lab environment.
Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to ensure safety.
A flexible schedule may include day, evening, or weekend classes.
