Description

Advanced Mechanical Engineer

As a mechanical engineer for Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile Fire Control programs, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, testing, implementing, building, and installing fire control tactical, trainer, and test equipment. Inaddition, you will be responsible for the cable plant engineering within those designs.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: cabling and harness design, electromechanical equipment design, electronics packaging design, production support, installation support, environmental testing, modeling & analysis, and/or drawing development. Experience with Mentor Graphics CHS or Capital Harness is a plus.

What specific tasks you will need to execute:

  • Assist in gathering all wire and cable construction, routing, and COORD requirements for a given program
  • Assist in defining processes for design tools and design best practices to implement cabling designs
  • Define material and deliverables for the cable plant on a program
  • Work in a collaborative environment and possibly lead a small team to meet program milestones, budget, and technical requirements
  • Prepare design review material to be presented both internally and externally (to the customer)
  • Provide support to the Manufacturing organization during the build cycle
  • Provide support to the Field Engineering organization during the installation cycle

Workplace Options: This position is fully on-site for a period of 1 year with possible hybrid/flex after that. While on-site, you will be a part of the Pittsfield facility.

Salary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. Combined Salary Range USD $112,924.00 - USD $125,275.00 /Yr.
