Position Summary
The Compliance Analyst supports audit readiness and compliance oversight activities through the collection, validation, analysis, tracking, and reporting of compliance-related data. This role is responsible for coordinating with subject matter experts and individual contributors to obtain audit-related information, maintain readiness trackers, and prepare accurate and timely reports for leadership and executive audiences.
The successful candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple concurrent requests under tight deadlines. This position requires advanced Excel skills, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Knowledge of utility operations, including Substation, Distribution, and Transmission functions, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Support
Support pre-audit readiness activities by collecting, validating, and organizing information required for internal and external audits.
Monitor audit readiness activities and maintain tracking tools to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Follow up with subject matter experts and individual contributors to obtain required documentation, evidence, and data.
Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and drive resolution to support audit preparedness.
Data Management & Analysis
Collect, consolidate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
Perform data quality reviews and ensure accuracy and consistency of reported information.
Maintain and update audit readiness trackers, databases, and reporting tools.
Identify trends, gaps, risks, and areas requiring leadership attention.
Reporting & Executive Communication
Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, scorecards, dashboards, and executive summaries.
Prepare leadership and executive-level reporting materials related to audit readiness and compliance performance.
Present data and findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
Ensure reporting outputs meet established deadlines and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, compliance, audit support, or related business operations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Tracker development and maintenance
Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting audit, compliance, regulatory, or risk management functions.
Experience in preparing executive-level reports and presentations.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
Knowledge of electric utility operations.
Familiarity with Transmission, Distribution, and Substation operations.
Understanding of audit readiness, controls, compliance monitoring, or regulatory requirements.
