Eighth grade. One year of experience in operating medium and/or heavy-duty automotive or medium and/or heavy-duty construction equipment such as 5,000 to 10,000 pound tractor trailers, light tractors, truck-mounted sweepers, tractor-mounted scrubbers, water tank trucks, backhoes, front loaders orsimilar equipment is required. Must possess a CDL/Class A with Air-Brakes testing. Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification and such other procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by the federal law is a continuing condition of employment. Must be able to work a permanent or rotating shift schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
