DESE Massachusetts educator license in Biology(Grades 9-12) required.
Strong content knowledge in biology, including cell biology, genetics, ecology, and human body systems.
Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate high school students in scientific inquiry.
Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
Experience with differentiated instruction, lab-based learning, and technology integration, differentiated instruction and technology integration.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging biology instruction aligned with Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Curriculum Frameworks.
Design and implement laboratory investigations and hands-on learning experiences.
Develop and administer assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Integrate instructional technology and data analysis tools to enhance student learning.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues.
Participate in department meetings, school initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
Ensure a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
Contribute to the school community through extracurricular activities and events as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Must successfully pass a CORI background check and fingerprinting as required by Massachusetts law.
