    Apprentice Electrician

    Location: Chandler, AZ Job Type: Contract Opportunity

    Position Overview

    Our client is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to support the installation, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial automation and control systems. Workingunder the direct supervision of a Journeyman Electrician, the Apprentice Electrician will assist with electrical installations, instrumentation wiring, conduit installation, and PLC panel assembly on projects.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assist with wiring, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of instruments and PLC systems.
    • Read and work from electrical diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings.
    • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
    • Install tubing and related supports for instrumentation systems.
    • Pull wire through conduit and properly label all wiring.
    • Assist with connecting wiring to controllers, instruments, and electrical devices.
    • Mount instruments, PLCs, and associated equipment in control panels.
    • Support continuity testing and verification of electrical circuits using multimeters and other testing equipment.
    • Observe installed systems to identify hazards, deficiencies, or required adjustments.
    • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing wiring, connections, and control systems.
    • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
    • Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety procedures.
    • Travel extensively to project locations as required.
    Required Skills & Qualifications
    • Basic understanding of electrical installation practices and safety requirements.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
    • Willingness to learn industrial electrical and automation systems.
    • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
    • Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
    • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
    • Professional attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
    Tools & Equipment Used
    • Hand tools
    • Power tools (drills, saws, etc.)
    • Conduit cutters and threading equipment
    • Tubing benders and cutters
    • Multimeters (volt, amp, and ohm meters)
    • Electrical testing equipment
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to work in industrial and construction environments.
    • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and tools.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
    • Ability to travel extensively and work at various project locations.
