Mechanical Assembler

Job Purpose:

Assemble Electro-Mechanical Assemblies per specifications and ensure quality is a priority. This position requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the company.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Read, comprehend, interpret & follow basic work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, & other written instructions.
• Follow established procedures to accurately assemble products
• Assembles components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies
• Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools
• Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts
• Identify product defects and report on to appropriate personnel
• Keep accurate records/logs etc.
• Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• This position requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the company.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stands, walks, and bends for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs., and stand for a regular 8-hour work shift.

Education and Experience:

• A strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, safely lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance if required).
• Basic computer skills - email, work instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
