The University of South Carolina is seeking qualified applicants for Assistant Director of Communications and Public Relations positions. This position will serve as the primary communications contact for men's & women's track & field, and cross-country, and the secondary communications contact for football. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations or a related field. A minimum of two years of collegiate or professional sports information, media relations or public relations experience required; Candidates should possess excellent communication skills with an attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work on deadlines. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products, photography, videography and/or Genius software is a plus. Applicants should possess a sound knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as they pertain to athletic communications along with NCAA approved statistical procedures. Ability to work nights and weekends and travel with assigned sports when required.
