Are you game?What You'll DoAs Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager (deputizing when required) in managing the daily operation of the store to ensure our customers have an amazing experience. You will also work to maximize sales, maintain store standards, and motivate your team. By exceeding customer expectations and delivering on Primark's proposition (maximizing joy at minimum cost), you'll drive store sales to achieve targets.Assistant Store Managers have the power to impact the business daily by managing inventory, moving product in accordance with customer demand, and being commercial—knowing what is trending and ordering merchandise daily to drive sales. We'll also offer you competitive benefits and work‑life balance—we know life outside the store is important.What You'll BringTo be successful in this role, you must have 4 years of prior experience in retail leadership in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Our Assistant Store Managers typically join us with retail experience as either a Store Manager or an Assistant Store Manager.Excellent leadership and people‑management skills with experience developing high‑performing teams and future leaders.Commercially astute, with the ability to analyze reports and guide teams to improve commercial performance.A true leader who can engage and influence stakeholders, and act as a role model to motivate and inspire a team that exudes confidence and enthusiasm.Experience delivering excellence in customer service and store standards by developing others, setting clear expectations, and encouraging, motivating, and celebrating success.Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work to agreed timescales. Experience managing or supporting resourcing planning and scheduling.Experience as a Key Holder, including being available for emergency call‑outs, securing the property and premises by securing cash and stock.Experience maintaining a safe and efficient workplace in line with EHS and Operational policies and procedures.Strong communication skills, orally and in writing, with managers, supervisors, and hourly colleagues in English to provide instruction, coaching, corrective action, safety instructions, and lead teams in daily operations and emergencies. Ability to provide excellent customer service in English, including speaking with customers and monitoring the performance of English‑speaking colleagues.The pay range for this role is: $79,040‑$93,080.This is a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
