    Description

    As an Assistant Store Manager, you will grow the company brand by delivering best‑in‑class service and bringing to life a distinctive world of adult beverages and more for our customers. You will support store operations and help build a sales and service culture to expand our customer base and maximize profitability. Internally, you will be referred to as Assistant Manager and report to the Store Manager.Key Responsibilities Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).Assist in recruiting, training, and leading the store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.Support day‑to‑day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising, and shrink.Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example, fostering a welcoming and knowledgeable store atmosphere, and resolving customer issues.Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).1‑3 years of work experience, with 2+ years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role in a retail setting.Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales‑focused team.Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.Physical ability to walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8‑10 hours a day; safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets, climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly; and may be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.Physical Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older.Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8‑10 hours a day.Safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO)Generous store discountsHealth care plans (medical, prescription, dental, vision)401(k), HSA, FSA, pre‑tax commuter benefitsDisability and life insurance coveragePaid parental leavePet insuranceCritical illness and accident insuranceDiscounted home and auto insuranceCollege tuition assistanceCareer development and product trainingConsumer classes and moreEmployment Details Worker Type: RegularPay Range: $22.19 - $31.96 hourly (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage)Equal Opportunity and Accommodations Total Wine & More is an equal‑opportunity employer.
