Compensation Pay Range: $17.13 - $23.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.).Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training.Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.Answer the telephone according to company policy.Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and process or stage returned merchandise in the returns area correctly.Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.Ensure all team members comply with company policies, including posted work schedule, approval of changes/deviations, and clock‑in/out compliance.Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicles.Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications Required: Sales Specialist TrainingAssistant Manager CertificationRSS CertificationDesired: Certified Parts Professional CertificationASE CertificationFluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)Benefits Competitive wages & paid time offStock purchase plan & 401k with employer contributionsMedical, dental, & vision insurance with optional FSATeam member health and wellbeing programsTuition educational assistance programsOpportunities for career growthEqual Opportunity Employer O'Reilly Auto Parts is an equal opportunity employer.
