About the OpportunityA leading global healthcare technology organization is seeking an Associate Director of Social Media Content Strategy & Creation to lead enterprise-wide social media and digital engagement initiatives. This individual will be responsible for shaping corporate social media strategy, strengthening brand visibility, increasing audience engagement, and driving content excellence across multiple digital channels.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, content leadership, analytics expertise, and cross-functional influence to build scalable programs that support brand awareness, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Social Media Strategy & Brand Governance- Develop and oversee enterprise-wide social media and digital engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals and brand priorities.
- Ensure social media efforts are integrated with broader communications, marketing, and omnichannel initiatives.
- Lead planning and execution of thought leadership programs designed to elevate brand visibility and industry expertise.
- Support digital engagement around key industry events, campaigns, and corporate initiatives.
- Serve as a steward of brand voice and consistency across digital channels.
- Manage agency and platform partnerships to expand capabilities, drive innovation, and accelerate execution.
Content Strategy & Development- Lead content planning and creation efforts across social, web, video, and multimedia channels.
- Establish best practices, templates, governance, and content standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with creative, communications, and marketing teams to transform complex topics into engaging stories and campaigns.
- Oversee content review and approval processes to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, privacy, and brand standards.
Marketing Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration- Design and optimize workflows for content intake, prioritization, production, and approval.
- Manage external agencies, vendors, and social media partners.
- Leverage AI, automation, social listening, and content management technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Build strong partnerships across communications, marketing, analytics, legal, regulatory, and business teams to drive alignment and adoption.
Analytics & Performance Measurement- Develop and own KPI frameworks for social media and digital engagement performance.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on audience growth, engagement, content effectiveness, brand impact, and campaign performance.
- Create dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Translate data and audience insights into strategic recommendations that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Lead recurring performance reviews and continuous optimization efforts.
- Partner with research and insights teams to incorporate brand perception, sentiment analysis, and share-of-voice metrics into decision-making.
QualificationsRequired- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in social media strategy, content marketing, digital marketing, communications, or related disciplines.
- Experience developing and scaling enterprise-level social media programs and governance models.
- Demonstrated success leading highly cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Deep knowledge of major social platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok, and emerging channels.
- Strong experience utilizing analytics, social listening, and content performance tools to drive business decisions.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Preferred- Master's degree.
- Experience within healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or related regulated industries.
- Agency experience is a plus.
