General Purpose
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range is $23.09 - $25.86 per hour.
Join our dynamic team as an Athletics Specialist! Under the guidance of our Recreation Coordinator, you will play a vital role in bringing a variety of athletic programs to life while fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for participants of all ages. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and implementing exciting activities, marketing our programs within the community, and serving as a positive representative of the City.

This position will work 30 - 35 hours per week, evenings and weekend availability preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals in a fast-paced environment
• CPR/First Aid Certification required within 30 days of hire
• High School Diploma/GED or Higher Education
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must possess valid drivers license

Recreation Center Membership: Employees are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per year.

Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.

Benefits: The city monitors the hours worked for seasonal and variable hour employees. In the event that they work more than 1,560 hours within the ACA measurement period, they will be offered health benefits.

Wellness: Employees are eligible to earn up to $100 for participation in various wellness activities offered by the City throughout the year.

Eligibility for Pay Increases: Employees are eligible for a pay increase around the time of their annual appraisal following a successful evaluation.

Sick Time: Accrual is 1 hour per 30 hours worked
