Position SummaryThe Automotive Technician I will perform preventative maintenance duties and assists with repairs to fleet vehicles and equipment.Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance duties such as changing oil, replacing filters, checking fluid levels, lubricating moving parts, checking tires, replacing burned out lights, checking and replacing belts/hosesCheck and repairs brakesRebuild small engines and repairs equipmentPick up parts from suppliersPerform minor welding repairsWash vehiclesTemporarily covering at another shop in your zone at certain times per year (for sick leaves, holidays, vacations, etc.)Other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required1+ years of automotive repair and maintenance experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilitiesMust have a valid California Driver's LicenseASE A5 Brakes Certification preferredEffective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organizationStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completionProblem solving skills with an analytical thought processAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentMust be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects up to 50 lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are in two shifts, Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or Monday-Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
