AutoCAD Drafter

We are expanding our Surveying Department and are looking for a qualified AutoCAD Drafting Technician. May be asked to perform some Civil Engineering Design drafting but this would expect to be minimal. Civil Engineering drafting experience would be a plus. Assisting withthe preparation of base map surveys for projects with some exposure to various site civil projects for preliminary plans, construction documents and other various tasks. Survey projects will consist of a range of natural gas pipeline projects, commercial, residential and industrial projects. Applicant needs to possess a basic understanding & ability to interpret record utility drawings, create site contours, and work with field observed surveying points, when possible. Attention to detail, problem solving abilities, and organization a must. Applicant should possess a strong desire to learn and progress with a high level of trainability.

Years of Experience: 1-3+ years of experience

Skills Required:

• AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft to Office
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work with others on staff as a project team
• Basic knowledge of civil engineering and construction
• Ability to read survey and construction field notes
