AutoCAD Drafter/Designer - Paramount, CA (onsite & full-time)

We are seeking a talented AutoCAD Drafter/Designer to play a vital role in producing precise, high-quality shop and mechanical drawings that drive the success of our commercial and residential projects. What You'll Do:
Create and refine production shop drawings for client approval, ensuring clarity and accuracy
Develop detailed shop and part drawings for manufacturing and construction teams
Produce precise mechanical drawings, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency
Perform thorough quality control checks, ensuring all drawings meet industry standards and project specifications
Manage drawing updates and requests efficiently, guaranteeing project timelines are met
Ensure all plans are accurate, detailed, and reflect constructability considerations
Provide weekly updates on CAD schedules and project progress
Develop and enforce CAD design standards and procedures in compliance with industry standards
Maintain organized CAD document archives for easy retrieval and audit
Collaborate seamlessly within teams, ensuring quality and consistency across projects
Required Skills:
Minimum of 7 years' experience with AutoCAD in Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural design environments
Proven experience with commercial and residential building plans
At least 5 years' experience working with Revit
Solid proficiency with Autodesk software and SolidWorks
Strong geometry, mathematical, and technical skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable, with a team-oriented mindset
Nice to Have Skills:
Additional experience with CAD standards development and implementation
Knowledge of fenestration industry standards
Certification in AutoCAD or Revit are a plus
Education and Experience:
BS or BA degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
Extensive background working in the architecture, mechanical, or civil sectors
Other Requirements:
Ability to work on multiple projects daily in a fast-paced environment
