We care about our customers, work closely with the medical community, and have highly skilled staff ready to assist customers in receiving the best airway management care possible for sleep apnea and asthma.The Billing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Third-Party Billing representative & Billing clerks' team.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of Reliable Respiratory are put into practiceOversee and manage the Third-Party Billing and Billing Clerk repsEvaluates subordinates for accountability, performance, and productivity and provides feedback, coaching, and trainingSupport staff in their diverse roles and oversee staff for accountability, performance and productivity and provides feedback, coaching and training.Initiates staff disciplinary actions. (consult with superior prior to implementing, except for minor issues, which require only retraining, or other informal response)Address all staff concerns and situations to the appropriate person to ensure safety and respect amongst all levels of the organizationServes as a role model to present hard work ethic and professionalism.Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistenciesOversee the collection of all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates etc.) & check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final billOversee and issue invoices, bills and customer account statements periodically or whenever necessaryReceive payments through various methods (cash, online payments etc.) and check for credibilitySend reminders for payments and contact customers when assignedUpdate accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.Answer questions and handle escalated complaints from customers regarding billsReport on activity to upper managementDetermines and monitors status of claimsResearches and works issues to ensure claims do not go beyond 30 days overdueHelps post cash batches and checks to individual invoicesReconciles deposits and invoices postedAdjusts and requests resubmission of denied claimsOversee the obtaining of compliance documentation necessary for billingParticipates in accounts receivable projectsAnswers telephones, processes orders, and participates in general customer serviceParticipate in standing meetings as necessaryPerform other duties and special projects as assigned and directedBasic Qualifications18 years of age or olderMust be eligible to work in the United States and not require work authorization from us now or in the futureHigh School diploma or equivalent required; college preferredAt least 2 year of experience in Medicare Billing or relevant ExperienceRequired SkillsEffective and professional verbal and written communication abilitiesGreat customer service skillsProfessional computer experience (especially Microsoft Office Suite)Ability to work independently to investigate and make decisionsStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and complete work amidst interruptions in a busy work areaAvailable during normal hours of operationAbility to comply with guidelines both internal and industry-imposedBilingual in English and Spanish preferredCompetenciesComputer SkillsCommunicationConflict managementCustomer ServiceDecision MakingEmployee ManagementEthicsLeadershipWork Environment & Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
