Facilities Maintenance Technician

This position will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and grounds; keeping them in a safe and working order. Responsibilities include:

• Fixing facility plumbing (faucets, toilet, urinals and drains)
• Fixing facility roof leaks
• Painting
• Dry walling repairs and ceiling repairs
• Reading the meters daily
• Fixing outside lighting
• Installing flooring
• Inspecting emergency lighting monthly
• Inspecting fire extinguishers monthly
• Removing snow and spreading salt
• Weeding and mulching flower beds
• Mowing the lawn
• Any additional items as assigned by manager

Principle Contacts: Inside/Outside the Company: This position will be interacting with other maintenance personnel, manufacturing engineers, management, and other company employees.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• 2 years of experience in a related trade
• Any Building and Grounds Certificates are preferred

Equipment Used: This position will use a forklift, scissor lifts, zero turn, snow plow, chain saw, and power tools.

Working and Physical Conditions: This position will be indoor and outdoor work and will require lifting, sitting, climbing, walking and bending on a regular basis.
