Description
Business Development Manager
Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.
Develop and execute strategic plans targeting the right new customers and markets.
Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, and market research.
Prepare and present bids, proposals, and quotations.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts by identifying expansion opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
Lead customer meetings to review needs, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
Ensure a high level of responsiveness and communication throughout the customer lifecycle.
Drive long-term partnerships that result in repeat and project-based business.
Collaborate with Engineering & Production to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
Provide initial technical guidance and ensure accurate transfer of information to internal teams.
Support customers through quoting, development, and early-stage production processes.
Ensure alignment between customer expectations and company capabilities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering is preferred; commensurate experience will be considered.
5+ years of Business Development, Sales and/or Account Management experience.
General Industrial industry experience is required with an understanding of stamping, fabrication, welding, assembly, cutting, or machining environments is ideal.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Basic understanding of financial metrics (margins, pricing, cost structures)
Experience preparing and presenting sales proposals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
