Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within commercial, industrial, and/or infrastructure construction markets
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including owners, developers, architects, and subcontractors
Leverage industry knowledge to position the company for upcoming projects, bids, and negotiated work
Collaborate with estimating, project management, and operations teams to support proposals and presentations
Track and manage opportunities through the full sales cycle-from lead generation through contract award
Attend industry events, networking functions, and association meetings to build brand presence
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and project pipelines to inform business strategy
Support RFP/RFQ responses, including scope development, pricing strategy, and client presentations
Job Requirements
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in construction (project management, estimating, field supervision, or similar)
2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing role preferred
Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, contracts, and project delivery methods
Proven ability to build relationships and close new business
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated with a proactive, hunter mentality
Preferred Background
Experience with a general contractor, subcontractor, or construction management firm
Existing network within the construction or real estate development community
Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline tracking
