This role is a hybrid of our Business Development Representative (BDR) role with Team Lead responsibilities. The BDR position is responsible for supporting the growth of the Fortra customer base through lead generation campaigns. This includes following up on various marketing generated leads as well as outbound campaigns that provide a prospect stream for Regional Sales Managers. Additionally, this role will serve as a Team Lead helping with team mentorship, training, recruiting, and reporting.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Recruiting & New Hire Training:
Assist with interview process to qualify and hire strong BDR candidates
Manage new hire onboarding and training schedule using provided onboarding program structure
Facilitate training sessions and meetings
Mentor new hires and help acclimate them to the team/company
Campaign Leads:
Assist with prospecting and marketing campaign metrics to measure success
Lead campaign follow-up strategy, including collaboration with marketing on messaging, email content, and reporting
Assist with email copy and reporting to determine best practices
Facilitate call reviews for BDRs to provide constructive coaching and measure effectiveness of messaging strategy
Reporting:
Compile monthly team KPIs for analysis
Ownership of supplementary team metrics to identify and augment strengths and specific areas for improvement
Assist with verifying monthly commissions
Sales Administration:
Assist with contest coordination
Serve as a resource for new ideas - prospecting, process, efficiency, etc.
Plan and facilitate regular team training, including content, topics and resources to leverage
Mentor the team
Business Development:
Lead generation for new software and services.
Calling campaigns targeted towards new customer acquisition.
Cross-sell referrals
Manage current customer license transfer and upgrade communication, negotiation and processing
Set-up product overview demos for customers needing education on their licensed software
Additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, sales, marketing
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Business Development, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Strong product and solution knowledge with a solid understanding of our business
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally
Strong organization and time management skills
Self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented
Resilient and tenacious, seeking continuous optimization and improvement
Ability to influence and motivate others with an emphasis on relationship-building
Excellent customer service skills
Preferably, security business and industry knowledge
Compensation: 50,000 USD - 54,000 USD Base + Commission
