Position Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design and drafting, with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings for a variety of engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Drafting:
Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) based on specifications provided by engineers and architects.
Develop schematics, layouts, and detailed plans for construction, manufacturing, and engineering projects.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure accurate representation of designs.
Participate in project meetings to discuss design concepts and modifications.
Quality Assurance:
Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and clients.
Documentation:
Maintain organized records of all drawings, models, and revisions.
Prepare technical documentation and reports as required.
Technical Support:
Provide support to engineering teams by preparing presentations and visual aids for project proposals and meetings.
Assist with the creation of technical manuals and installation guides.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or certification in CAD technology, drafting, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a CAD Technician or in a similar role.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and other relevant design tools.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical drawings, and construction methods.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Working Conditions:
The role is remote.
Occasional travel to project sites and client meetings may be required.
