Description

Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawaii may apply for Casual Hire appointments, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits provided to regular Board of Regents or Civil Service employees. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and evaluate student proficiency in performing the various skills necessary to perform as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current State of Hawaii EMT or MICT license, and/or current NREMT EMT certification, or Advanced EMT certification, or Paramedic certification.

• A Copy of your academic transcript(s) appropriate to the position are required to be attached in order to verify all courses completed and/or degree conferred (unofficial transcripts are acceptable; copies of diplomas will NOT be accepted). Official transcripts are required at the time of hire. Transcripts issued outside the United States of America require a course-by-course analysis with an equivalency statement from an agency having membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc., verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA will be required before date of hire. Expense of the evaluation shall be borne by the applicant.
• Statement outlining how you meet minimum (and desirable, if applicable) qualifications.
• Names and contact information of three (3) references familiar with your job performance.
