CHEF/COOK Park Manor is a 100% employee-owned Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Facility located in Park Falls, nestled in the heart of the Northwoods. It is Park Manor’s mission to provide excellent quality care in an atmosphere of compassion, hospitality, and respect for the dignity of each person.
Requirements:
Age 18 or older preferred Serve Safe Certification required within first 30 days of employment
Job Summary:
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals according to facility menus and dietary guidelines
- Follow special diet requirements (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, pureed, texture-modified) as directed by dietary staff
- Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards in all food preparation and storage areas
- Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, steamers, slicers, and mixers
- Support meal service to residents, including tray line setup and portion control
- Collaborate with dietary managers and staff to accommodate resident preferences and needs
- Adhere to facility policies, health codes, and safety procedures at all times
- Participate in staff training, safety drills, and ongoing nutrition-related education as needed
Openings:
Casual. 930am-530pm; Two days per week. Every other weekend is required and will be built into master schedule. Could lead to additional hours if willing to accept other position duties. Position will be fulltime hours at the beginning for training and then transition to normal two days/week master schedule.
