    About the Role

    The Company is seeking a Chief Mission Officer (CMO) to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission of empowering individuals with neuromuscular diseases to lead longer, more independent lives. The CMO will be responsible for strategic leadership in the areas of care, community engagement, advocacy, research, and mission-aligned external partnerships. This executive will serve as the senior voice for mission strategy, translating the organization's strategic plan into coordinated programs and measurable outcomes. Key responsibilities include providing executive leadership across the four mission pillars, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensuring that the lived experiences of individuals and families inform decision-making. The CMO will also be the external spokesperson for the organization, building and maintaining strategic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in mission-driven, healthcare, or related organizations. The role requires demonstrated expertise in clinical care strategy, patient advocacy, community engagement, and cross-functional leadership. Familiarity with rare diseases, neuromuscular conditions, and related areas such as gene therapy and clinical trials is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and a proven track record of building trust and influencing across various professional domains. A commitment to the mission of improving care, independence, and access for individuals with neuromuscular diseases is essential.
