CNC Programmer/Lead, PA Dec2024- 0201
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Supervisor to manage a small team of operators to work with 4 new CNC lathes with robot loading and unloading. Experience as Plant/Production Manager or Team Leader is preferred for this position. Fanuc controllers and G-code is valuable. This is a Direct role near to Carlisle, PA and it is on-site.
Responsibilities:
- CNC programming of 3 or 4 axis lathes with live tools and Fanuc controller
- Duties include programming set-up, production, and in process inspection of components from part drawings/blueprints
- Perform and verify machine setups prior to manufacturing
- React to out-of-control conditions
- Inspect manufactured parts and complete QC paperwork
- Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per blueprints
- Troubleshoot tooling and programming problems
- Interact with Supervisor to optimize productivity and eliminate downtime
- Train and assist new operators as necessary
- Bore Jaws for new parts
- Participate in LEAN manufacturing activities as required.
- Ability to perform additional tasks as required by management.
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines with 5+ years of experience
- Experience with Fanuc controllers and mastery of G-code
- Advanced mathematical skills
- Knowledge and experience of machining techniques and tools
- Experience using electrical and manual tools
- Familiarity with CAD software for fixture design purposes
- Competence in using precision measuring instruments for accuracy
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment provided (glasses, gloves etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- Manual machining using mills and lathes
- Ability to develop fixtures and jigs for new parts
