    CNC Operator / Programmer / Engineering Support - South Seattle WA - August 2025 - 1803

    Our client located in the South Seattle area is seeking an experienced Operator / CNC Programmer (CAMWORKs or similar) to support and enhance the precision manufacturing of parts and assemblies for aerospace, defense, industrial, and motorsport applications. The successful candidate will develop and optimize machining programs to ensure efficient, high-quality production aligned with demanding technical requirement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Program CNC mills and mill-turn machines

    • Translate engineering drawings and part models into optimized toolpaths for complex parts, and flat metal components.

    • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, machinists, and quality teams to validate programs through first article inspections and in-process testing.

    • Select tooling, cutting strategies, and feeds/speeds tailored to materials such as titanium, stainless steels, Inconel, and exotic alloys.

    • Support continuous improvement by analyzing machining performance, cycle times, and tool life, then implementing efficiency improvements.

    • Maintain detailed CNC documentation, revision controls, and program backups.

    • Provide technical support on the shop floor to troubleshoot program issues and guide operators on best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

    • 3+ years of CNC programming experience preferably using CAMWorks, especially in mill or mill-turn environments.

    • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and familiarity with toolpath verification.

    • Strong understanding of machining exotic materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel, stainless steel) used in aerospace and defense.

    • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and translate them into accurate CNC programs.

    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and hands-on support capabilities.

    • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach in a precision manufacturing setting.
