We are hiring a Commercial HVAC Foreman in the Kansas City metro area to lead and supervise field crews on commercial HVAC installation, retrofit, and service projects. This full-time role reports to the HVAC Superintendent or Project Manager and serves as the primary on-site leader coordinating labor, materials, and subcontractors. The Commercial HVAC Foreman ensures all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project plans and local mechanical codes.

Key Responsibilities - Commercial HVAC Foreman
Lead, train, and supervise HVAC technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors on commercial job sites. Assign daily tasks, manage crew productivity, and mentor junior team members.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical schedules to plan and coordinate installation of RTUs, VAVs, boilers, chillers, ductwork, piping, and controls. Coordinate with general contractors, inspectors, engineers, and other trades.
Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies, conduct daily job hazard analyses and toolbox talks, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Plan manpower needs, sequence work to meet project schedules, track labor hours, and report daily progress to the Project Manager. Identify and resolve field issues that could affect schedule or quality.
Coordinate material delivery and staging, verify materials match specifications, inspect completed work for quality, and assist with punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Qualifications - Commercial HVAC Foreman
5 to 10+ years of commercial HVAC experience including leadership or foreman responsibilities
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, installation methods, and local Kansas City area mechanical codes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical specifications
OSHA 10 certification required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications - HVAC Field Supervisor
Journeyman HVAC license in Kansas or Missouri
Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial HVAC projects
Controls, testing and balancing, or commissioning experience
OSHA 30 certification
Physical Requirements - Commercial HVAC Foreman
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions on active commercial job sites
Standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods throughout the shift
