Roofer Position

What you will earn:

$24.00 - $30.00 depending on experience

Position Summary:

Roofer is responsible for installing roofs and repairing existing roofs for commercial properties. Installation of Single-Ply, TPO, Modified, Coatings, Shingled roof systems. Perform essential roofing services to help maintain and repair roofing systems. Experience different aspects of the industry and perform tasks that help improve the efficiency of the crew and exceed the customer's expectations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Sets up and works safely from safety harness, ladders, and scaffolding
• Inspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairs
• Removes damaged roofs and flashings
• Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris
• Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers and electric spraying tools
• Installs roofing materials such as polyurethane, shingles, elastomeric coatings, tiles, TPO, PVC and other roofing systems
• Performs torch down and cold process methods to various roofing systems
• Locates problems on roofs and determines the best repair procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 Years Roofing Experience
• High school education or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• Spray coating experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending and lifting heavy loads
• Previous experience in roofing, construction, or related scope of work
• General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques, and specialties
• Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Regularly wear gloves, hard hats, safety goggles, or earplugs, depending on the job
• Are sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Usually work close to others, typically within a few feet
