Our people know that managing projects efficiently and effectively produces success; and working collaboratively to do so makes the success truly rewarding.The Construction Office Engineer/Project Controlsposition is responsible for maintaining all project records, as well as assisting with other administrative and project support tasks as needed by the Resident Engineer and Office Engineer. Work hours will typically follow daytime construction schedules and will be at various project locations and project office types, including construction trailers without plumbing.Who you are:Develops working relationships with staff and stakeholders.Takes on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm; independently.Communicates effectively by developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the project needs to external partners (i.e.: clients, consultants, and contractors).Cultivates innovation by creating new and better ways for the project to be successful and tapping resources.Uses resourcefulness by securing and deploying project resources effectively and efficiently.Instills trust by gaining the confidence of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.What you will be doing (typical duties and responsibilities):Construction ManagementAssess, advise, and prepare response to Contractor SubmittalsAssess, advise, and prepare response to Contractor RFIsChange ManagementLead resolution of field issuesQuantify potential contract changes and facilitate and track change ordersAssist with preparing Change OrdersConduct impact analysis of cost and schedule changesForecast quantity/cost to completeDocument ControlProcess, print and file all incoming and outgoing project documents and correspondenceRoute and track contractor submittals and RFIs for review response Process and distribute Change Proposals, Design Changes and Change OrdersMaintain project files, material documentation and as-built recordsCreate/Maintain Record of Materials (ROM)Project CorrespondenceDraft correspondence to administer the terms of owner-contractor agreementsReport on construction progress and trends; Draft monthly construction progress reportsTrack correspondence for issue resolution, follow-up, changes, and directionsDraft transmittalsMeeting AdministrationPrepare for and document pre-construction conferences/pre-activity meetingsPrepare meeting agendas with input from the Resident EngineerAttend progress and safety meetings as requiredTake meeting notes; prepare and distribute minutes and notes to all involved partiesContractor/Subcontractor ManagementCompile monthly progress payments; maintain all relevant recordsGenerate and verify math of force account workProcess Subcontractor Request to Sublet Submittals Review Contractor/Subcontractor payroll for compliance (certified payroll, pay registers)Maintain all EEO/DBE/Apprentice Training Documentation and participationPrepare Weekly Statement of Working Days StatementAdministrative SupportMaintain project office, supplies, etc. Provide administrative support to Resident Engineer and other staff as neededKBA EngagementAdhering to KBAs Health & Safety Policies & ProceduresContribute to improvement of KBA Processes & StandardConduct Employee Safety AuditsPrepare Site Specific Health & Safety Plan for individual projects
