If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and making a real impact, this is the opportunity to grow your career.What You'll Do As a Vegetation Management professional, you will play a key role in maintaining safe and reliable utility infrastructure while protecting natural resources.Your responsibilities will include:Conducting vegetation inspections and assessments along utility rights-of-wayIdentifying tree and brush management needs and recommending treatment plansSupporting Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) and environmental projectsUsing GIS mapping and mobile technology to collect and document field dataEvaluating terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions in project areasCollaborating with planners, project managers, and field crews to implement vegetation solutionsHelping utilities maintain compliance, reliability, and public safetyWhat We're Looking For We're seeking motivated professionals who enjoy fieldwork, problem-solving, and continuous learning.Required:Passion for working outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditionsAbility to read and interpret GIS maps and spatial dataStrong communication and teamwork skillsOrganized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using mobile technologyValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to operate a 4x4 vehicle and travel within the service areaKnowledge of or ability to learn local tree species identification and growth patternsPreferred Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or related fieldUtility vegetation management or right-of-way experienceProfessional certifications such as: ISA Certified Arborist®Registered Professional Forester (RPF)Pesticide or herbicide applicator license (if required by state)Leadership experience and a desire for career advancement are strongly encouraged.What You'll Get The opportunity to work in America's great outdoors with teammates that will support your professional growth and managers who empowerCareer Development Program supported by Industry Expert Safety Specialists & Skills Trainers through the Davey Institute of Tree ScienceA company vehicle for commuting purposes & cell phone$20 - 24 per hour based on qualifications and experienceUpon completion of a probationary period you'll be eligible for the following benefits including:Scholarship Program for Children of EmployeesEmployee referral Discounted stock purchase options & 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match.bonus programCharitable matching gift programPaid time off and paid holidaysAbout Davey Resource Group Davey Resource Group, a division of Davey Tree Expert Company, is a national leader in natural resource consulting, environmental services, and utility vegetation management.
