    Contract Administrator

    Description of Work

    We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Contract Specialist to join our growing Business Development and Contracting Team. In this role, you will learn about the business of Small Business Government Contracting. You will assist in the development of high-quality proposals and responses to federal Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other procurement opportunities as well as research and program support on our various contracts. The perfect candidate will not only have experience with business development but also client-facing skills. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals interested in a career in federal contracting, proposal development, and client-facing opportunities.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Assist in the creation, writing, editing, and formatting of technical and non-technical proposal content
    • Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and project managers to gather relevant proposal information
    • Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and company standards
    • Develop and maintain proposal templates, past performance summaries, and reusable content libraries
    • Conduct research on federal agencies, contract opportunities, and competitors
    • Support the development of graphics, charts, and other proposal visuals
    • Track proposal progress and help manage timelines and deliverables
    • Work independently and/or under general supervision.
    • Contracts:
      • Assist in proposal preparation
      • Assist with contract negotiations, review terms and conditions
      • Administer contracts
      • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in support of pre and post award contractual opportunities.
      • Monitor contract performance (cost, schedule, performance)
      • Coordinate with program management
      • Contract close-outs
      • Create and maintain professional interface with customers
      • Perform various reporting.
    Required Education, Skills, and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Political Science, or a related field
    • 1–3 years of professional experience (internships or coursework related to writing, editing, or federal proposals a plus)
    • Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Adobe InDesign, SharePoint, Chat GPT Business, and/or proposal software is a plus
    • Familiarity with federal procurement and contracting processes such as OASIS+, FEDSIM, Symphony, and GSA eBuy
    • Experience working in a government contracting environment
    • Familiarity with GSA schedules, IDIQs, and proposal lifecycle management
    • Experience with federal compliance websites such as SAM.gov for updating entity registrations, checking representations and certifications (Reps & Certs), and looking up exclusions. Knowledge of attaining active/past solicitations and contract award data from government databases.
    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
