ResponsibilitiesCoordinate, monitor and analyze results of plant inventory counts and annual physical inventory processesOversight of lower of cost or net realizable value (LCNRV) adjustments on inventoryAnalysis and reporting of month‑end inventory balances including GMNA inventory balances, associated P&L impacts and global inventory footnote disclosure in GM's 10Q/KSupport and collaborate with Global Business Solutions (GBS) inventory and product costing teams to ensure compliance with APM requirements, effective controls and accurate reportingCollaborate closely with Manufacturing Management Finance to ensure alignment of financial results, budget/forecast impacts and any required disclosuresNavigate and understand various systems impacting inventories/product costing including Material Global Optimization (MGO), Global Product Costing (GPC) and financial reporting of inventories across eSAP, Global Ledger, FINCORE, GCARS/OneStreamUtilize new technologies and solutions to create more robust controls, process efficiencies and impactful reporting packagesPresentation of financial results to other members of the organization including leadershipAssist with special projects and ad hoc requestsDevelop strong relationships with business partners, support requests/inquiries including Controllership, Finance, IT and various other operational partnersMaintain controls and work with Financial Assurance and external auditors to support audit requirements, streamline existing business processes and develop new/enhanced control proceduresModel GM's desired behaviors including safetyActively promote GM's culture of inclusionRequirementsBachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business or related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) (preferred)Public accounting firm experience (preferred)5+ years of relevant experience (preferred)Experience with Sarbanes‑Oxley complianceStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to understand and apply accounting and financial reporting standards (US GAAP)Ability to prioritize assignments/projects, take on additional responsibilities and deliver within restricted time constraintsStrong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnershipsFocus on learning and personal developmentAbility to embrace and manage change#J-18808-Ljbffr
