Cost Accounting Manager

Location: AustinTX (onsite)

Duties:
The business (sourcing, engineering, and operations) will provide priority lists of products and sub-assemblies to analyze and determine true costs of production and what savings by expense line would be expected if Vertiv chose to no longer manufacture those specific items. These costs as well as third party sourcing costs will be consolidated in the Vertiv make/buy tool to enable comparisons of various financial metrics such as direct labor, overhead and depreciation expense as well as trade working capital components inventory and accounts payable.
The associate will present analysis to the leadership team and participate in ensuing discussions as the company determines the ultimate course of action. If outsource decisions are made, associate will assist in auditing outside suppliers' charges to ensure they aligned with the quotations utilized in the make/buy analysis.

Cost Accounting Leadership
Make/Buy Project management
Proficiency in MS Office applications, with strong Excel skills
Experience with Oracle costing module
Manufacturing experience

Education:
Degree in accounting
