Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a (CSSNA) Project Manager - Engineering with our power technology client in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay:$47.00 - $52.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.


Schedule: This is a hybrid role with a Monday through Friday schedule, working from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Description:
We are looking for a talented Project Manager - Sales to join our team specializing in Sales  in Phoenix, AZ.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Project Leadership: Lead multiple projects from start to finish, facilitating planning sessions to define scope and objectives, and working with stakeholders to set performance goals.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, track, and collaborate with others to resolve project issues efficiently.
  • Status Communication: Monitor and communicate project status regularly to the project team, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Budget Management: Plan and monitor the project budget, conduct research and analysis, and contribute to the design and development of project plans and timelines.
  • Risk Management: Use quality tools to identify and manage project risks, working with team members to find alternatives or solutions.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Document and share team learnings with other teams, leveraging past experiences to enhance project success.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed project notes, databases, and other records, and communicate with the Project Sponsor and stakeholders on project status and assignments.
  • Resource Allocation and Coaching: Identify and assign appropriate resources for project tasks, guide and coach team members through project stages, and provide developmental feedback.
  • To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Project Issue and Risk Management - Regularly assess the project environment to identify potential issues and risks early. Use tools like risk matrices to prioritize issues based on their impact and likelihood. Develop and implement strategies to minimize risks and address issues promptly.
  • Project Resource Management - Create detailed resource plans that account for both expenses and headcount, ensuring you have the right resources at the right time. Use project management tools to allocate resources efficiently, avoiding overallocation or underutilization. Regularly track resource usage and make adjustments as needed to stay within budget and meet project timelines.
  • Project Scope Management - Clearly define the project scope and ensure all stakeholders understand what is included and excluded. Use change management processes to handle any changes to the project scope, ensuring they are documented and approved.
  • Adapts to target audience - Understand the background and needs of your audience to tailor your communication effectively. Break down complex information into understandable chunks, using analogies or visuals if necessary.


Education/Experience:
  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Strong communication skills are essential to success. This role will require daily communication with external Customer/Contractors and supply vendors. Internal collaboration is also required with our PowerGen sales managers, purchasers, application engineers, etc.
  • The role will need to manage projects with an engineering approach.
  • Prior experience within the PowerGen industry and/or engineering is highly desirable.
  • Up to 25% travel is expected. (For attending job sites for major deliveries and generator commissioning work.)

  • Self Motivated - This role is accountable for a specific area of responsibility and a book of business. It's critical a candidate have experience(s) where they can demonstrate self-discipline including customer call prioritizing, scheduling and route optimization.
  • Strong Communication Skills - Written, listening, speaking and presentation. Solid verbal and interpersonal skills including the ability to interface at all levels within an organization. The ideal candidate would show confidence in this area and have a history of relatable experiences at various levels in an organization.

  • This role is intended to be physically based in the Phoenix, AZ region. Other locations may be considered at manager discretion.
  • Compensation
  • Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

  • The interview process consists of two stages: an initial 1-hour interview with the hiring manager, followed by a panel interview.
