Job Description:
The Service Parts Associate - Level II is responsible for assisting Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in identifying, sourcing, and securing the parts and supplies needed to support daily operations. This position works under moderate supervision and requires strong customer service, parts identification, order processing, inventory, and computer skills.

The ideal candidate will have previous mechanical, automotive, equipment, parts, warehouse, or related industry experience and should be comfortable working directly with customers and technicians to identify and procure the correct parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers, technicians, and parts personnel with identifying, locating, and obtaining required parts and supplies.
• Handle customer parts counter duties, including receiving parts calls, greeting walk-in customers, and assisting customers with their parts requirements.
• Process customer orders, paperwork, and transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, check, and credit card transactions as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers by responding to questions and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Escalate complex customer issues or parts requests to senior parts personnel or management when necessary.
• Utilize parts catalogs, internal systems, reference materials, and other resources to identify and source required parts.
• Work with technicians and other parts personnel to locate complex parts and identify suitable alternatives.
• Support accurate and timely order processing and order lifecycle activities, including order modifications and customer inquiries.
• Assist with sourcing parts in the most cost- and time-efficient manner.
• Identify appropriate opportunities to upsell supporting products and services based on customer needs.
• Assist with inventory management, stock level monitoring, shipping and receiving, warehouse activities, and core processing as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional customer parts counter and warehouse area.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Generate reports and utilize computer systems to support daily parts operations.
• Perform other parts-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience.
• Some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge gained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
• Previous experience in parts, mechanical, automotive, equipment, warehouse, inventory, or a related industry is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and strong computer skills.
• Ability to learn and navigate parts catalogs, order processing systems, and inventory systems.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, and other parts personnel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
