Field Service Supervisor 
Location: Forest Park, GA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $35 - $37 an hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused professional to oversee daily Field Service operations while supporting purchasing and sourcing activities. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, technicians, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery, scheduling, procurement, and operational support.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, experience coordinating field service activities, knowledge of diesel engines, and a background in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Field Service Operations

  • Manage and coordinate daily activities for the Field Service team.
  • Schedule technicians and assign work orders to support customer needs and operational priorities.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, answering questions and providing service updates.
  • Assist with estimates, work orders, service documentation, and scheduling activities.
  • Monitor workload distribution and ensure efficient utilization of field resources.
  • Support service process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.

Purchasing & Sourcing

  • Procure inventory, supplies, equipment, and capital goods while ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.
  • Create and manage purchase orders and vendor communications.
  • Analyze sourcing and purchasing data to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
  • Support vendor management activities, benchmarking efforts, and market research initiatives.
  • Assist with contract administration, supplier evaluations, and purchasing compliance requirements.
  • Track supplier performance, order fulfillment, and payment-related matters.
  • Maintain purchasing records, legal documents, and compliance documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-facing or customer service environment.
  • Experience scheduling, directing, or coordinating work activities.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, heavy equipment, or related mechanical systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, suppliers, and leadership teams.
  • Experience with purchasing, sourcing, inventory management, or supply chain operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Project management experience.
  • Financial analysis and reporting experience.
  • Vendor management and contract administration knowledge.
  • Process improvement and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Purchasing, or a related field preferred.
