Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a (CSSNA) Welder with our power technology client in Henderson, CO. This is a 6-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay:$21.74 - $22.74/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Schedule: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Description Responsibilities include:
Interpreting shop drawings/blueprints
Reading a tape measure
Setting up MIG/MP welding machine
GMAW/FCAW welding (MIG and Flux-Core) Mild Steel
Using power tools - drill, impact driver, angle grinder, etc.
Basic construction skills
Working from ladders and scissor lifts, wearing fall protection
Wearing a respirator
Set-up, operate or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines.
Key Responsibilities:
Basic knowledge of welding processes, such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and resistance welding.
Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.
Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools.

Additional notes:
This role requires some Mig welding experience. Some flux core welding experience is good to have as well. The candidate will need to have measuring, cutting, grinding, and tool experience. Some overhead crane and scissor lift experience is a plus. 50% of the role will be welding.
When the manager is ready, he will be requesting 30 min onsite interviews and then a 30-minute weld test. The candidate will need to bring their own welding hood. Disposable respirator and gloves can be provided.
