JOB TYPE: W2, Onsite, Full-time, 6 Months contract, Temp-to-hire, 1st Shift (FIRST SHIFT: Hours 7 AM - 3:30 PM)

JOB SUMMARY FOR WELDER:
- We're seeking a Welder who will Set-up, operate or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines.
- This role requires some Mig welding experience. Some flux core welding experience is good to have as well. The candidate will need to have measuring, cutting, grinding, and tool experience. Some overhead crane and scissor lift experience is a plus. 50% of the role will be welding.
- Pay Range: $19-$25/hour depending on experience and benefits package.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR WELDER:
- Interpreting shop drawings/blueprints
- Reading a tape measure
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.
- Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools.
- Setting up MIG/MP welding machine
- GMAW/FCAW welding (MIG and Flux-Core) Mild Steel
- Using power tools - drill, impact driver, angle grinder, etc.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Basic construction skills
- Working from ladders and scissor lifts, wearing fall protection
- Wearing a respirator
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR WELDER:
- Basic knowledge of welding processes, such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and resistance welding.
- Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Mig Welding experience
- General construction skills
