Distribution Customer Service Representative

Pay: $21.46/hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift Overtime: Occasional overtime and weekend work required

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Distribution Customer Service Representative to support our warehouse and distribution operations. This role will serve as a key connection between customers, warehouse teams, and internal departments to ensure accurate order processing, timely shipments, and excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, shipments, invoices, inventory, and account-related issues in a professional and timely manner
• Process customer orders and maintain accurate records
• Generate inventory and stock reports to confirm product availability
• Prepare shipping documentation, work orders, and related paperwork
• Coordinate rush orders and special shipping requests with operations and traffic departments
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure customer expectations and service standards are met
• Verify invoices and assist with accurate account billing
• Provide shipment tracking and tracing information to customers
• Maintain damage reports, backorder logs, and account documentation
• Escalate customer concerns or service issues to management as needed
• Serve as the primary communication link between warehouse operations and customers regarding orders, shipments, and invoicing
• Maintain organized files and records related to customer accounts
• Update and maintain process and procedure documentation for assigned accounts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous shipping and receiving experience required
• Experience in a customer service or distribution environment preferred
• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel required
• Strong computer skills and accurate data entry abilities
• Familiarity with shipping systems such as UPS and FedEx
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic typing and 10-key skills
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or distribution environment
